Therapy Models I Draw From

I use aspects of models to best suit the client and their needs. We all have differing goals and styles, and this is important to consider in therapy so that your therapy journey is personalised to you. Therefore, I often use a combination of models, and will work flexibly so that you make the most out of therapy. I only use evidence-based models, which means that they are heavily researched and deemed appropriate and effective. NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines are evidence-based recommendations for health and care in England. They set out the care and services suitable for most people with a specific condition or need, and people in particular circumstances or settings. The models I use in my therapy practice are:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
-
Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
-
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
-
Narrative approaches
-
Attachment approaches
-
Mindfulness-based approaches
-
Trauma-Focussed CBT
-
CBT for Psychosis (CBTp)
