Supervison

Dr Sophie Wicks provides supervision to professionals, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapist, counsellors, and psychologists. Dr Wicks is experienced in providing both one-to-one supervision, and also group or team supervision. Dr Wicks can particularly support clinicians in considering trauma-informed practice, making sense of a client's difficulties, and honestly reflecting on their own responses to clients. Dr Wicks predominantly frames difficulties using CBT, CAT, Attachment Theory, Narrative Theory, ACT, and EMDR. Dr Wicks provides specialist supervision for professionals working with clients with psychosis, using the CBT for Psychosis therapeutic approach.

Training

Dr Wicks provides training to mental health professionals who would like to learn more about working with psychosis, trauma, anxiety, depression, or relational difficulties. This can also include an introduction to using CBT techniques and DBT techniques in clinical practice.

Dr Wicks also provides training to workplaces regarding staff burnout, managing stress at work, and working through difficult team dynamics.

All training is individualised to the needs of the individual(s) or workplaces.
